Focus on… Unsafe Maintenance at a Sawmill

What happened?

Two incidents at a sawmill have highlighted the importance of having safe maintenance procedures in place. In the first incident a worker fell through a gap in the walkway, seriously injuring his shoulder. Less than three months later a worker received crush injuries to his head and neck when the hoist he was working on started up.
